General Notes (Husband)
Due to fire loss of all federal 1890 census, complete parentage is
difficult to determine. His mother was Della, daughter of Adolphus
Russell Quinn, but his father is unknown. The last names of Abner, Abney,
Ebner and a few others were researched in the local areas, but to no
avail. These names were of some remembered and passed along by my
immediate family. Based on the numerous last names of his half-sisters,
it appears that his mother was involved with many different suitors and
that he probally had no legitiment father. As he was born in 1886, the
1890 census perhaps would have provided positive information in this
matter. The 1900 census shows him residing (as grandson) with his
maternal grandparents who continued to raise him along with his known
half-sister. He, his wife and one child are buried in Glendale Community
Cemetery, Glendale,SC 1
