General Notes (Husband)
Good to hear from you. I am related to Robert Black that married Lucy
Gill
in N. C. 1792. I think it started with RobertBlack and wife Elizabeth,
parents of Henry, Thomas, John, George, Elizabeth, and Mary. Henry
married
Sarah and had 8 children, the only ones I can name is Jane and John.
Thomas
was never married that I can find. He had a will and named his mother,
niece, nephew and brothers and sisters. John married Mary (her maiden
name
could be Dixon) they had Samuel, Robert and John who were orphans aafter
his death in 1795. His son Samuel could have married Francis Delone. Not
sure. George do not know his wife had Robert & Elizabeth(they were named
in
Thomas's will as George's children) Robert married Lucy Gill in 1792 and
Elizabeth married Major Harralson in1793. Elizabeth married Abraham
Fulkerson, Mary married someone with last name Person and went to
Balitmore
Co. Maryland. I think my line goes Robert, George, Robert( Robert had
Hardy, Thornton, Hyram, and Leathly. They were considered orphans in
1805
after his death. I only knew of Hardy and Henderson, but when my cousin
went to N. C. she found the others and we think Henderson's full names is
Thornton Henderson. Lucy Gill was the orphan of Peter Gill and Herndon
Haralson was her gdrn. She had 2 siblings Will and Patsy because they
were
mentioned as grandchildren of John Rogers will. Would like to know her
mother's name because I am a Rogers. Anyhow Henderson Black gggrandfather
and his son Thomas was my ggrandfather and he had dau. Laura Jane who is
my
grandmother who married Robert Albert Rogers.Lucy and family moved to
Graves
Co. Ky 1in 1840. I beleive Abraham Rogers Turner is connected to my
Rogers
because my cousin sent me a note saying we were dist. cousins to him.
Have
to check more. I am looking for the parents of Albert George Rogers .
His
father was born in N. C. and his mother in Tn. She could possibly be
part
Indian. I got a lot of good infro from Marshall Styles. He is
researching
the same Turners that you are. If you do not have his e-mail let me know
